This photo was taken at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. I chose to photograph this because it was a fun day trip and the butterflies were extremely still. They basically posed. The color of this butterfly was excellent as a subject because it is a transparent red that compliments the green of the plant. I made some minor enhancements on the computer, adjusting the contrast and brightness. That's basically it!
